para comprender y contribuir al conocimiento y la atenci\u00f3n cl\u00ednica de las personas con c\u00e1ncer antes y despu\u00e9s del trasplante de \u00f3rganos. En respuesta a los riesgos significativos en esta poblaci\u00f3n, \u00e9l y su equipo establecieron un centro cl\u00ednico y de investigaci\u00f3n integrado centrado en el paciente: CICT est\u00e1 dedicado a mejorar la vida de las personas que viven con c\u00e1ncer y trasplante de \u00f3rganos<\/p><p>La investigaci\u00f3n es un componente de esto, y CICT ha lanzado\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cancerandtransplant.org\/es\/bioregistry\/\">el \u00fanico biorregistro nacional a nivel de paciente<\/a>. Incluye datos de pacientes, con y sin c\u00e1ncer, antes y despu\u00e9s del trasplante de \u00f3rganos. Los pacientes, con su consentimiento, se ingresar\u00e1n en el biorregistro, y este rico recurso permitir\u00e1 futuras investigaciones sobre muchos tipos de c\u00e1ncer dentro del entorno de mayor riesgo de insuficiencia org\u00e1nica y trasplante. El biorregistro de CICT sigue a los pacientes inscritos, rastreando su respuesta a su tratamiento y resultados; el objetivo es fomentar la colaboraci\u00f3n con otros centros oncol\u00f3gicos y programas de trasplante. \u201cCuantos m\u00e1s centros contribuyan con sus datos, m\u00e1s podremos realizar investigaciones que no podemos lograr en un solo sitio\u201d, dice el Dr. Blosser.<\/p><p>La Cl\u00ednica de C\u00e1ncer y Trasplante de \u00d3rganos es el otro componente del programa. Ubicada en Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, la nueva cl\u00ednica ha asociado onc\u00f3logos de 12 tipos de c\u00e1ncer diferentes con cuatro m\u00e9dicos de trasplantes que se especializan en trasplantes de coraz\u00f3n, pulm\u00f3n, h\u00edgado y ri\u00f1\u00f3n. La intersecci\u00f3n de la experiencia conduce a una atenci\u00f3n integrada mientras se aclaran los diagn\u00f3sticos y se brindan planes de tratamiento personalizados.
